Mixing down-a full day

So everything is falling into place.
I have spent hours tweaking the knobs on c# minor to get that organic feel.
We have gone for a more 'feeling' sound with the new songs. We want to express an emotion
and not show how good we are at playing the instruments.

The hardest part of the recording has been to get the sounds of the guitars and bass and the voices sound
like they are played in a studio. This is the hardest part as we only record in my room which means the
natural sound you get is actually pretty crappy.

The big problem with me and Ante is that we have a backlog of about 20 songs that we need to record.
We seem to spend 2 hours recording a song but then 6 days adding new vocals and messing around with the sound.
We spend the whole day with music flying around our heads and we need to release it...

Its like holding in a pee for the whole day. As soon as we touch the guitar, everythign is fine and we can be ourselves again.
Its funny to think that this piece of wood can be the key to our happiness.

Like Ante said, the neighbours seem to love our music which is a nice thing to hear. The gig is coming up at the winston very soon and we are getting some good music together. Its weird for me to be switching to bass again, but enjoyable to be discovering it all afresh.

Anyway, thats whats happening with us at the moment. Me and Ante are enjoying living together and making music whenever we can. It feels like we are on the right track. Just hope the music reflects that!
